FAQ

Question: How many types of Diesel (Gasoil) are generally available in the market?

Answer: Three types of diesel are generally available in the market and they are :-

1) Low Sulfur (Premium Quality) 500ppm (max)– This product is environmental friendly and is highly recommended to use for generators, and machinery which are sensitive to the oxidation of sulfur resulting in the formation of Sulfur Di Oxide. It is mandatory to use this product in all of the free zones across whole UAE.

2) Normal Sulfur 5000ppm (max) – This product mostly used for bunker and boilers.

3) High Sulfur 10,000ppm (max) – This product is also called Marine Gas Oil and is mostly used for bunker, in some type of furnaces, broilers, etc. The disadvantage of this product is that it is not an environment friendly product as it emits more percentage of Sulfur Di Oxide on burning as compared to Low Sulfur Product.

Question: What is the difference between Low Sulfur & High Sulfur products?

Answer: As the name suggests Low Sulfur means the Sulfur contents of this product are at its minimum and ranges between 0 to 500ppm and the High Sulfur means the Sulfur contents of this product are on a higher side and ranges between 5,000ppm to 10,000ppm.

Question: What are the end results of using the Low Sulfur & High Sulfur product?

Answer:
The end result of using the low sulfur product are firstly is environmental friendly as it emits the lowest amount of Sulfur Di Oxide into the atmosphere. Secondly it also has a positive effect on the machinery in turn reducing the maintenance cost of the machinery.

High Sulfur as the name indicates the product is having the sulfur content to its maximum, firstly it is NOT an environmental friendly product and secondly it does have a negative effect on the machinery as it emits more Sulfur Di Oxide resulting in more maintenance cost.

Question: Is it necessary to know the basic properties of the diesel?

Answer: YES it is very important to know the basic properties of the diesel, as it determines how good the product is and is the product advisable by your machine manufacture to use it or not.

Question: Is Diesel consumption is directly related to the regular maintenance of the machinery in which it is used?

Answer: YES, if the regular maintenance of any machinery is carried out at its specified frequency then the diesel consumption is drastically reduced.

Question: : Does the color of the product give any distinct advantage in recognizing the quality of the product?

Answer:To some extent yes it can, but not necessarily. The chemical properties make the product good or bad and not the color specifically.
